Enjoy Delicious, Authentic Montana Dining

Dining at our Montana guest ranch is a family affair, and is often the social highlight of the day. We all dine together, as you become part of our ranch family during your stay and you will enjoy a scrumptious Montana dining experience at each meal. Breakfast and lunch are buffet style and, as with dinner, are all you can eat.

Breakfasts include a full fare of hearty ranch style hot dishes, complimented with fresh fruit, homemade baked goods, along with lighter foods such as cereals and yogurts. Fresh brewed coffee, a variety of teas, and fresh juice are always available.

If you aren’t enjoying your favorite sandwich out on the trail for lunch, you can find homemade soup, salad, and a variety of sandwiches or side dishes available at the lodge.

Each evening begins with appetizers, followed by a varied menu of hearty and delicious ranch style dishes all served family style. Homemade dessert finishes off each dinner.

Friday brings the weekly BBQ with steaks, burgers, brats, entertainment, and an evening of family fun around the campfire.

Whichever meal, whether it is a sack lunch in a high alpine meadow, or a sit down dinner in the lodge, you will be treated to great food, friendly service, and a true family Montana dining experience – Covered Wagon Ranch style.

Our staff is very conscious and knowledgeable about food allergies, and can customize menus to accommodate virtually any specific need our guests may have.

The Covered Wagon Ranch has a BYOB policy, which allows our guests to compliment their meals with the drink of their choice. Many fine wine and liquor outlets are available locally for you to shop on your way to the ranch. With some pre-planning, we can also shop for you prior to your arrival, or you can ship directly to the ranch ahead of your stay. Wine glasses, ice, coolers, and openers are all available at the ranch. Of course, fresh lemonade, ice tea, water, coffee, and a selection of teas are always available in the lodge.
