Activities

Covered Wagon Ranch offers a range of activities, from horseback riding to fly fishing.

We are proud to cater to all levels of riding ability. Rides are filled with dramatic, pristine views of the country surrounding us. Our summer horse riding season runs from June 1 through September 15.

Located at the confluence of the Taylor Fork and Gallatin Rivers, fly fishing at Covered Wagon Ranch is world class! It resides in prime fly fishing territory. Other area rivers such as the Madison, Yellowstone, Firehole, and Missouri are only a day trip away. Guides services are available upon request.

Our guest ranch specialty is horseback riding trips into the surrounding back-country of the Gallatin and Madison Mountain Ranges and Yellowstone National Park. We tailor each ride to your preferences and experience, but the perennial favorite is the all-day ride with unforgettable views of the Rocky Mountains and a trail-side lunch. You can choose fly fishing outings on world-renowned waters, rafting, mountain biking, hiking and wildlife viewing.

The Covered Wagon Ranch proudly operates with a Special Use Permit on the Gallatin National Forest. We also are privileged to provide guided horseback rides into Yellowstone National Park under a Concessionaires Permit through the National Park Service.

What ever your choice, you will have the time of your life!
